The correct installation of the sprocket can make the chain transmission system have good centering, prevent the chain from being unevenly loaded on its side and destructive wear between the sprocket teeth and the inner chain plate of the chain, and ensure the smooth transmission of the chain to achieve the design service life. The adjustment method of the chain drive system can simply follow the steps below:
a) Install and adjust the sprocket shaft. Adjust the bearing position by shims. Make sure the bearings are properly seated; measure and adjust the sprocket shaft by using a spirit level. Keep the sprocket shaft horizontal or in the same plane, measure the distance between the two ends of the associated shaft with a ruler, steel wire and other tools, and adjust the position of the shaft so that the associated shafts are parallel to each other: check the level of the shaft after adjustment, and adjust repeatedly until the level and The alignment meets the requirements (Figure 3-3).
b) Install the sprocket on the shaft. Check the alignment of the sprocket in the axial direction with a ruler on the machined surface side of the sprocket. If the center distance of the sprocket is very long, use a tensioned key wire, etc. to measure.
